January saw us kick of the year in true rock 'n' roll style with valued clients Metallica as they resumed their World Wired Tour in Tulsa Oklahoma. We provided artist catering and Justin manned Rockpool’s VIP bar serving delicious drinks for family and friends of the band.
In February we began the US leg of the eventful Muse Simulation Theory World Tour in scorching Texas. Pete Bailey provided catering for the A- party around the clock for 2 months. Rockpool’s Talented chef Stu also began RCHP’s Australasian side of the tour beginning in Tasmania and ending in New Zealand.
In spring during the month of March we outgrew the café space and began working on our second dining room at Production Park. This area is specially designed to seat 50 crew that are working on rehearsals at Production Park. We put our Rockpool stamp on the décor with a giant 2 metre fork and knife and special bespoke wall paintings.
One of our highlights in April was when Hugh Jackman was at Production Park, rehearsing for his world tour, and we catered for him and his lovely crew around the clock for over two weeks.
In May, Rockpool Café at Production Park celebrated its third birthday and we also began the American leg of the Florence and The Machine Tour, in California providing artist catering throughout.
During the months of June and July, we serve 20,000 meals across 5 UK Stadiums for a variety of different tours and events. We set up fully equipped state-of-the art kitchens in each venue and made sure the local crew had a comfortable space to refuel and relax.
In August Rockpool fed and watered the team at Brilliant for their annual staff conference and opened the café especially on a weekend to serve Breakfast to potential Backstage Academy students and their families who travelled from all over the UK to visit the site.
As the summer came to an end, in September Rockpool travelled down to Somerset for a very special wedding. We set up 2 bars and 2 kitchens serving canapés, cocktails, a sumptuous 3 course sit-down wedding breakfast and finished it off with a banging burrito bar. We also had a fab day providing the catering for one of our valued corporate clients charity event. We travelled to Ice Co’s company site and set up an outdoor kitchen under a marquee.
In October we prepared and served 70 guests lunch on site at Production Park. We also provided hot and cold drinks throughout the day for West Yorkshire Combined Authority’s away day. Plus hosted a Networking brunch for local businesses in the Rockpool Café meeting room.
During November we provided a buffet in the Talk Box at Backstage Academy for a Business event for local company RCP21. Plus made delicious food for international superstar Bjork while she and her crew rehearsed in Studio 001 for a week.
And finally in December we fed over 150 people at two Christmas parties in one night at The Wardrobe in Leeds city centre. We served delicious high-end finger food including lots of delicious handmade bitesize desserts and festive options catering for all dietary requirements. We also prepared and delivered a Christmas buffet for local valued corporate clients Univar on their Christmas Jumper Day and created a scrumptious Christmas spread for local clients Ice Co.
